So this may seem a little odd and sort of icky but many people women and men alike have annoying little spots in their skin called skin tags. They are not attractive and very often are irritating and can even be painful. So what is a skin tag really?
Via Wikipeadia the definition of a skin tag is an acrochordon (plural acrochorda) also known as a skin tag. A small benin tumor that forms primarily in areas where the skin forms creases, such as the neck armpit and groin. They may also occur on the face, usually on the eyelids. Acrochorda are harmless and typically painless, and do not grow or change over time.
It is believed that skin tags occur from skin rubbing up against skin, since they are so often found in skin creases and folds. They also are more common in women than men.
Beauty Tip of the Week:
(Before trying any home remedy consult a physician to confirm the area is in act a skin tag and not some other condition. )
I have seen this work myself. My aunt had many skin tags under her bresat so much so that much of her skin under that area was covered. They were rubbing her clothes and bleeding from being pulled from the skin. She tried this remedy for a few weeks and soon after they dried up and fell away. Her skin is clear now.
It is worth a try. Far cheaper than the over the counter remedies and a trip to the doctor.
Wash the area of the body with the skin tag and dry thoroughly. Use a cotton ball to apply apple cider vinegar to the area. The acidity of the vinegar may help remove the skin tag. Place the cotton ball on the skin tag and leave in place for up to 15 minutes. Repeat the process several time a day until the skin tag darkens, dries up and falls off. Avoid placing apple cider vinegar to skin tags on or around the eyes or sensitive areas. Using full strength vinegar may cause harm to the eyes or burns on the skin. make sure to have a little water handy in case it starts to feel uncomfortable.
Remember that persistence is the key. Trying this once or twice will not work. You have to stick to it.
